Serie Storica / Time Serie
Una serie storica è rappresentata con una successione temporale (n-upla ordinata) di alcuni valori caratteristici di un titolo azionario quali, ad esempio, i prezzi e il volume trattato giornalmente.
Nelle seguenti espressioni p indica il prezzo, v il volume, T un insieme di titoli ed n è il numero dei titoli contenuti nell'insieme T (T può essere un portafoglio):
A time series is represented by a temporal succession (ordered n-tuple) of some characteristic values of a stock such as, for example, prices and volume handled daily.
In the following expressions p is the price, v the volume, T is a set of stocks and n is the number of stocks contained in the T (T could be a portfolio):
L'indice i individua il singolo valore della successione, l'indice t identifica invece il titolo.
Quindi T è l'insieme di appartenenza del titolo. Questo insieme può rappresentare l'intero listino piuttosto che suoi sottoinsiemi come, ad esempio, il paniere di un'indice (FTSEMIB, NYSE, ecc.) oppure un particolare portafoglio che si vuole analizzare.
Serie storiche più specifiche sono le seguenti, dove o è la serie storica dei prezzi di apertura, l dei prezzi minimi, h dei prezzi massimi e c dei prezzi di chiusura:

Then T is the set of membership of the stock. This set can represent an entire list rather than its subsets such as, for example, the basket of an index (FTSEMIB, NYSE, etc..) or a particular portfolio you want to analyze.
